What is a Home Viewing Checklist?
A home viewing checklist allows you to make an asessment or ranking of the homes that you view based on all the aspects of the home from square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, exterior, yard, and more to compare against your must have and wishlist.
Why use a home viewing checklist
When you are viewing multiple homes, you can quickly lose track of which ones had specific features that you liked or disliked. The checklist will allow you to track and analyze each home in order to revisit and compare and contrast each home that you have viewed without getting confused on which home had what to offer.
Your advisor will provide you with the checklist for each home that you view and then go over it with you after to assess how you ranked each area of the home and how that fits into the context of your goals. This will also help to analyze against your must haves and wish list items to evaluate if any adjustments need to be made so your advisor can change the scope of the home search if necessary.
